"Failing to plan is planning to fail" – Benjamin Franklin
Intentional Living
To assume you’ve got your day covered without actually #planning it is truly not getting your day covered. We all need to be #intentional about our lives, taking note of the effect, result or repercussions of our actions and none actions, putting in building blocks and activities in our days that move us towards what we desire to become or have in our lives, or at least what you want this moment. Intentional living makes a lot of difference in how productive our days go and how successful we become at living our best lives.
Make your planning exercise fun and realistic. Don’t be rigid. Plan your play time as well. All work and no play makes #SDJ a dull girl. Lol. Plan your interaction and Social media engagements. #Plan your study time, even time for house chores and family time should all be planned.
“For which of you, wanting to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?
Luke 14:28-30 (HCSB)
Discipline
Set #goals and targets for yourself and watch yourself accomplish them. Don’t say the lock down is almost over, it’s too late. No it is not! Goals and targets do not have to be monthly or weekly. It can be daily or even hourly.
When your goals are set, don’t put the execution of your plan till later. Yes, you want to see a movie! Is it in your plan for the day? Be disciplined enough to say “No” to yourself. If you have people around you that will make sticking to your plan difficult, then try to get them involved in the planning from the onset so that “everyone” knows what “everyone” is trying to achieve. I know things do not always go the way we plan, but not planning at all means you would not even know what didn’t go well, so as to correct it subsequently.
Plan and execute now
What is in your plan for today?
What goal or target do you want to achieve today?
What can you do in the next 3 – 6 hours or maybe next 1 hour?
Can you #read a chapter of a book or your bible?
Or maybe start writing a #blog post?
Ok, reach out to a friend and make up on phone or chat?
Pray?
Start exercising?
A lot can happen in 15 minutes trust me. Don’t let your day go by without you achieving any feat.
But the noble man conceives noble and magnificent things;
And he stands by what is noble and magnificent.
Isaiah 32:8 (AMP)
Wake up early and do the exercise routine. Stay away from TV or your phone for a while and clean your room! Get back to that book you have been reading for so long. Make yourself proud. Yes darling! You can do this!
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].
Philippians 4:13 (AMPC)
