Stay Home: Mental Acceptance

Seek To Understand The Situation

You know, one major reason why this lock-down or #StayHome is so hard on many of us is because we have refused to accept it in our minds that it is really happening. So even though you are forced to be home and truly have been home, you have not totally settled in, in your mind.

Yes! You are “stuck” with Dad and Mom for ONE MORE WEEK! (Maybe more)

No! You are not going to be at that favourite play place for a while.

No! There is no place to send off the children to, and you can’t escape to the office just yet.

This is real. It is happening. Not all of us like it, but yes it is real. Accepting it will definitely give you less mental torture about it. When we #live in the reality of our situation, we #understand the situation better and this understanding allows us take charge of the situation and make the best of it. Or sometimes #change it, if it is in our power to do so.

Faith Over Fear!

Some of us are not troubled about where we are physically or who we are with at the moment, but we are plagued with worry and fear of “catching the virus”. Or “What becomes of the world after now?” etc.

‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’ Isaiah 41:10 (AMP)

Faith over fear darling! Rather than worry, pray. Commit your concerns to God in prayer. He truly has all the answers we need.

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Philippians 4:6 (MSG)

#Pray darling, don’t get tired of praying. There can never be too much communicating or interaction with God. You can write to me if you need someone to talk to. *Hugs

Love,

SDJ
